Offshore Boating Safety

Dates: Saturday, October 1st, 2011
Location: Hayden Island, Schooner Creek Boat Works

This will be a fun and informative training for captains and crew alike.

The  class will be from 9am- 5 pm with a 1 hour lunch break.  You will learn techniques for handling shipboard emergencies including man-overboard, fire, and flooding.  Learn about survival techniques for land and cold water survival.  Learn how to prepare your crew to optimize the chance of successful rescue when the time arrives.  You'll see demonstrations of lifesaving equipment such as liferafts, immersion suits, emergency flare and smoke demonstrations (when possible), PFDs, EPIRBs, and VHF radios.  This will be a very hands-on interactive training involving lots of audience participation.

Cost:    $100 per person
Includes:  7-8 hours of training, free Survival Book, and training materials.

Registration for the class closes the day before the class or until the class is full.  There is a $50 non-refundable deposit in order to cover costs of equipment rentals and other class expenses.  Offshore Guardian reserves the right to cancel the course at any time, however if Offshore Guardian does cancel a class for any reason all of your deposit and registration fees will be refunded fully.
